Dairy Farm Assistant - Quest Dairy

The Opportunity

We have a position available for an ambitious individual with a keen interest in the dairy industry to join us as a Farm Assistant on Quest Dairy Unit. This is a 280 effective ha block, located close to Taupo which will milk approximately 950 cows through a 54 bail rotary shed. This role will cover different aspects of farming, enabling you to gain experience in milking, fencing and stock work.

A positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn is necessary. This is a unique opportunity within a progressive organisation that will best suit someone who is looking to take a step forward in their farming career. The role includes a 2 bedroom duplex which is located a short distance from a wide range of leisurely activities.

What you will bring:

  • A minimum of 1 year dairy farming experience preferred
  • A positive attitude, self-motivation and initiative
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
  • Commitment to high standards of Health and Safety and Animal Welfare
  • Good communication skills
