The Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and hardworking Shepherd General, with a strong interest and passion for the sheep and beef industry to join our team at Rangiputa Station. To be successful in this position, you must have general knowledge of all round farming skills, exceptional communication and the willingness to accept responsibility. Rangiputa is a 3,400 ha property 20 km north-west of Kaitaia. The property runs 27,000 su and is currently lambing 7,500 ewes, calving 1,600 cows and fattening approximately 2,000 bulls.

 
The team has fun learning environment and as a Shepherd you will help take on day-to-day responsibilities of stock and general work, to be successful in the role your attitude and initiative will far outweigh your experience.

The role comes with shared accommodation.

You will bring:

  • A great sense of humour
  • Be able to keep up-to-date and accurate records
  • Be a motivated team player who is also able to work unsupervised
  • Current and full NZ drivers licence.
