A Stock Manager opportunity is available on Edenham Station. We are located in central Hawkes Bay, 20 minutes from Waipawa, 45 minutes from Havelock North. Edenham is a 1,780 ha breeding and finishing property with a mixture of both flat and rolling hill country.
As Stock Manager you will be responsible for organising day-to-day activities on farm as well as supporting and leading a small team of staff. You may be an experienced Stock Manager or a Head Shepherd looking to step up to the next level.
The Stock Manager will have a strong focus on feeding animals to reach their potential. You will work closely with the Farm Manager to ensure overall planning and farming operations are carried out effectively and meet the desired production and profitability targets.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have a great attitude and a high amount of pride in yourself, the team, the stock and the farm. You’ll need to have a drive to deliver on the farm plan as well as the ability and confidence to communicate purposed changes to the plan based on your day to day farm observations.
The role comes with a great family house with three bedrooms. The local primary school is located five minutes away with a secondary school bus stopping nearby.
